So sorry to hear of your loss. We will always have fond memories of Mrs. Kline and Greenbrier school. Our oldest son Curt was luck to be able to attend. What a positive way to start his school career. She definatley knew how to make learning fun. I remember the inside swing, in the school, wow. And how she was always greeted us so cheerfully, calmly, and dressed professionally. She was much more together than I ever was. Definately an amazing lady.

Dear Milton and family, Your mom and dad were always so good to me. Your dad was Superintendent when I was at King George. I was also able to visit your mom's preschool several times. Both of my daughters attended Virginia's preschool in King George, VA. We cannot say enough wonderful things about her teaching, compassion, patience, joy, and dedication to the children. I feel that our lives have been truly blessed to have known her. My deepest sympathies to the family and may they be comforted in the knowledge that she was loved by so many.

I was lucky enough to attend Virginia's pre-school and have fond memories of it. It's funny the things that stick in your memory. She had an indoor "sandbox" that was filled with corn kernels instead of sand. It blew my little 4 year-old mind when I first saw it. And her backyard playground was like Kings Dominion to me. Virginia's basement was a world of learning and place where I made friendships that would be forged strong over the next 15 years and have lasted a lifetime. Virginia was strong and caring and made a real difference in the lives of all of us lucky enough to be touched by her grace.

So very sorry to hear this. My mom and Mrs. Kline were close for so many years and I have so many great memories of her. She was a sweet and funny lady and my mom loved her a lot. Virginia and Homer were good friends of my folks and came over to the house often to visit. We went to OBX with them when I was young and I have fond memories of playing guitar with Homer's bluegrass buddies. Memories of so many shopping trips with my mom and Virginia. My would always "donate" my old toys to her school in the basement of their house. Virginia helped my mom with planning and directing things at our wedding. She was always a good friend to my mother and I will always remember her fondly. The family is in my thoughts. - Jamie and Dickie and Roland

She was a sweet, kind , lovely lady, well dress holiday attire at church and a blessing to our church family. She is in a better place, now with Homer. I enjoy our many visits at Hughes. May your hearts be filled with warm thoughts and cherish treasured moments of your dearly departed Mother. What a wonderful lady! Both of our children attended her outstanding preschool in the 70s. They loved going there and did indeed love Mrs. Kline. She always encouraged and inspired her students and taught them so much of life skills - interacting with others, being polite and respectful, sharing, and preparing academically for kindergarten. She was such an asset to our King George community and will be missed by all who knew her. Sincere condolences to her family. Pat and Gary Blount

Mr. & Mrs. Kline contributed some much to our county and community. I remember riding at the horse shows where the current nursing home is and also one that was held at the current middle school. Of course, this was before the nursing home and school were built. I graduated with Milton and wanted to say how much I loved both of his parents and how much they were involved with the little things that bring back wonderful memories. Mrs. Kline helped me on election day many years ago when it was pouring raining and I was crazy enough to get into politics. I have nothing but fond memories of both of Milton's parents. I am truly sorry for you lost, my prayers are with you and your family. Goodbye sweet lady.

Mrs. Kline was a wonderful teacher and friend. Both of my sons attended Greenbrier Pre-School in King George and she and Mr. Kline loved and cared for the children there as if they were their own. They also comforted and reassured many Mom's that the kids would be ok and have a great time learning. I really don't know how they did it but Mrs. Kline sent home daily notes with each child. I loved the beautiful way Mrs. Kline always had every piece of her outfit match. And the boys have very happy memories of Mr. Kline and his ukulele, and so many moments of their time at Greenbrier. Mr. and Mrs. Kline always asked us how the children were doing in later years whenever we saw them and were genuinely interested to know. I know they are both in the presence of our Lord today. I pray for comfort for your family and know that your Mom and Dad are so loved and respected.

The memories I have as a young girl being comforted by Mrs. Kline will always live on in my heart. Mrs. Kline taught me early on to enjoy school and learning was fun. She also tried to her best to teach me how to share (still need assistance with that at times). I am so grateful for the time she took with me, my brother, and all of our childhood friends that had the privilege to attend her school. God Bless, Angela

Dear Ones, Nothing I can say will fill the void you are feeling right now. However, I would like to share a lesson (lessons seem very appropriate considering how many Homer and Virginia taught over the years... smile). that my daddy taught me long ago. He said, "If we keep the happy memories of our loved ones alive and close in our heart, they can never really leave us." I have tested that many times over the years and found it true. I am sure you all have a multitude of happy memories of Virginia. Hold them close, share them with others, listen to others as they share with you. It WILL keep her close to you.
