To Ms. Goldie’s family, and especially my dear and longtime friend, Linda: There’s just something about hearing of the loss of a mother that rends your soul. When it’s the mother of a friend, you feel their pain deeply. Linda, we were just talking about Ms. Goldie on December 1, 2024. I pulled it up. I prayed for many things for her that day. Then I see the dreadful news about her passing. I will continue to lift you and your family in prayer now, and especially in the days to come as you try to adjust to your new normal. Ms. Goldie was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but there is a hole left in the heart of all who love her. The Word of God tells us there’s a time to mourn and a time to dance. You all will dance again. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 King James Version 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

To Goldie’s family: We were so sorry to hear of Grandma Goldie’s passing. She was truly a kind and loving Christian woman. Although no blood relation, Grandma Goldie became a mother and grandmother to us, which is a credit to her genuine and compassionate life. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the services but we are praying for you during this time. Heaven is sweeter but she will be missed until we see her again. 💜

I love you with all my heart and soul Mom. I’m still reeling from your unexpected death. I feel empty without you but I know you’ve earned your wings and that makes your absence bearable. You will never be forgotten Mom.
