I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Barbara years ago when we worked at NSWCDL. She had such a loving spirit that never changed in all the years that I knew her. I am truly sorry for your loss. I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to the family.

Barbara Jean and I grew up in Sylvania Heights as neighbors. We went to Spotsy together, sang in the church choir, then carpooled to Dahlgren as we started our careers at NSWC. After we retired from Dahlgren, we learned that we were 5th cousins thru both of my parents as we both started searching our family's roots. We spent many hours on the phone recalling our mutual history and sharing notes about what we had learned about our mutual ancestors, Through my mother, we are connected by our mutual 4th G-grandparents, Frank Sullivan and Francis Newton of Paytes. Through my father, we are connected thru our mutual 4th G-grandparents, Alfred and Peggy Battaile of Burr Hill, Orange. I can't recall a time that we didn't each other's company. A Wonderful Lady as was her dear mother, Ruby Mae Woolfrey Jett. God Bless this Lady and her family.

To Cheryl and family, We knew Barbara for scarcely a year but were very honored to know her for even that short time. She had an endearing disposition toward all of our crew (who helped in her home renovations) and a treat to visit her after the project was completed...we will never forget her sweet chuckle and generous friendship. Eternal rest grant unto her, Oh Lord; may she rest in peace.
