Judy, Sending you my sincere condolences. I know how difficult this is for you and please know that I am thinking about you during this sad time. Your Mom and my Mom were the best of friends for so many years. They loved talking to each other on the phone and catching up on our families and all the Barlow’s, Taylor’s and Pitts’. They both knew the family history so well. Cherish your memories of your Mom. Love, Brenda

Sorry to read of your mom's passing, Judy. Seeing her pic brought back fond memories of a wonderful woman. Not only was she a big part of Shiloh Baptist Church, but she was also a dear friend to many. I have found many handwritten letters she sent to my mom, from the 80's when they moved away from King George, all the way to many years later when she was in assistant living. I hope knowing how respected & loved your mom was, helps gives you peace.

Dear Judi and Clift, My deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. She truly will be missed. I remember when you two and Roy and I were neighbors on 206, we would often get together for cards or community dinner at our house. Judi would often bring a surprise from her Mom's kitchen, ' Mrs. Lumpkin's Bakery'--a delicious lemon pie or other culinary masterpiece made by your mother. She was a terrific cook; and she was also a kind and generous lady. I feel she has entered the pearly gates and all those who have gone before her have lovingly greeted her. May the Lord Bless and comfort you now and in the days ahead dear Friend.

Julia was an institution at Shiloh Baptist Church. For over 25 years, she served as clerk and historian of the church. Priceless are the church business meeting minutes she so meticulously recorded. Among her many contributions, she authored History of Shiloh Baptist Church, 1956-2004 and The Women’s Missionary Union of Shiloh Baptist Church. Rest in peace, Julia. You’re with Hazel and Michael now. May God comfort Judi and Clift during the days ahead.

Dear Judy and family, Sending you all my love and deepest sympathies during this difficult time. Your Mom was such an amazing person, and leader at Shiloh. What a wonderful friend she was to my Mom, I remember hearing them chatter and laugh on the phone long into the evenings. I know they are in heaven talking away! May all your beautiful memories bring you and your family peace and comfort in the days ahead. All my love and prayers, Sandy
