Vic Moore

Victor (Vic) Moore passed away on December 15, 2020 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born in Deming, NM to his late parents Ruben Moore and Mildred Hobbs Moore. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane Blake Moore from Woodford, VA. Vic and Diane have resided in Matthews, NC for the past few years after spending much of their life living around the world. He is also survived by his son Aaron Moore (Melissa) and their son Max from San Diego, CA and his daughter Rebecca Matthews (James) and son Nicholas from Mint Hill, NC. His two grandsons, Nicholas (12) and Max (2) who were the light of his life. He is survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Debra and Tim Merryman of Fredericksburg, VA; Mickey and Gloria Blake of Woodford, VA; and Buford and Cheryl Blake of Worthington, OH, and Mary Janish, deceased. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Vic was a veteran of the Air Force and worked for the Department of Defense for over 30 years. He retired in 2009 from NSA and led a quiet life. He worked on his hobbies of gun collecting, coin collecting, and increasing his knowledge on cars, particularly Corvettes. He loved to travel and spent his early years on the job living in Germany, England, Colorado, and Maryland where he retired. He was passionate about the beauty and the mountains in NM and was happy to visit them one more time.
The family would like to give loved ones and friends the opportunity to say their farewells. A Memorial service will be held at Hopewell UMC on December 11, 2021 at 1:00pm.
