Mary Ann Coates Groves

Mary Ann Groves, 74, of Colonial Beach, passed away on Wednesday, February 23,2022 at Mary Washington Hospital after a long illness.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband William David Groves and her parents, Mac Coates and Ann Mothershead.

She is survived by her son Michael and his wife Hope; three grandchildren, Kimberely, Shelby and Donovan; and a brother, Mac Coates Jr. and his wife Beverly of Reya, Virginia. Kimberely and her fiancé Ryan Johnson gave her four beautiful great-grandchildren, Alyviah, Trentyn, Jaxon and Chance, all of Colonial Beach.

In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting live plants or plant a tree.
