Evelyn Marie Elliott 83 of King George went home to be her Lord and Savior on Thursday June 9, 2022, on what would have been her 31st wedding anniversary. Evelyn was born in Elizabethton, TN. On April 30th, 1939 She loved God and attended several local churches including Hanover Baptist Church. She loved traveling with her children, shopping, eating good food, reading, and listening to gospel music. Bird watching was one of her favorite activities as she loved all of God’s creatures. She is survived by her children James Collins, Rickie Collins, Donna Brown and Debbie Osborne. She has eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren along with her beloved dog Champ and many furry grand babies. Evelyn was predeceased by her infant daughter Sandra Carol, husband Willard Elliott, grandson Wesley Collins, her parents, four brothers and her beloved sister Lucille Persinger. She chose to donate her body to the Virginia State Anatomical program to help others in need. The family would like to thank all who prayed for her during her illness and her loving care team at Mary Washington Hospice. Special thanks to Vinny’s Italian Grill and Pizzeria for your hospitality and meals. A celebration of her life will be announced later.
