Ellen Ora Brooks Brown

Ellen Brown, 85, of Dahlgren, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022.  She was born in King and Queen County, Virginia on November 2, 1936.  Ellen was preceded in death by her son, Scott Brown and her husband, Fred Brown.

She is survived by her children, Linda Meador and her husband, Larry of Roanoke, Virginia and Steve Brown of Dahlgren; grandchildren Mackenzie Patterson and her husband, Grayson, and Cameron Meador, all of Roanoke, Virginia, and Courtney Brown of Fredericksburg, Virginia; brother, Joe Brooks and his wife, Janet, of Baltimore, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellen was a member of the King George Garden Club and the Red Hat Society where she was the Queen of the Southern Charmers. She worked for 40+ years for NAVSEA at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren. Her hobbies include line dancing, reading, and spending time with her friends.

As per Ellen’s request, no service will be conducted.  She wants to be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and dedication.
