Hilleary Worthy Thoren

Hilleary Worthy Thoren, 53, of Colonial Beach passed unexpectedly Monday, March 6, 2023 at her home. Hilleary was a lifelong resident of Colonial Beach, graduated from Colonial Beach High School and attended University of Mary Washington. She is survived by her parents, Bob and Jackie Worthy; a son, Brad Thoren (Bree); three grandchildren, Oliver, Chloe and Aubree; a sister, Beth Heberlein (John); and two nieces, Jessica and Katherine.  Hilleary worked in the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E31) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD).  There will be a private celebration of life for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to a women’s shelter, a homeless shelter or the charity of your choice in Hilleary’s honor.
