Robert (Bob) Kalamajka, age 66, left this world at his home in King George Virginia on 3/2/2023, after a life full of living! Bob was not your average citizen; he was committed to his career and gave his expertise and intellect to the US NAVY for 33 years as a civilian Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist. Bob retired in 2014 but remained connected to his service. He graduated Oil City High School, Clarion State University and earned his certification as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. In 1993, he received the Dept. of the Navy recognition award for Promotion of Competition in Procurement as part of the SMAW Team. Bob drank, smoked, and swore, but you will never find a man more dedicated to family, pets, people & animals in his community. He loved to plan his annual Mooch Tours to spend time with family and friends up and down the east coast. This was his way of showing you how important you were to him. We were all important. Bob is survived by his beloved siblings, Josephine (Kalamajka) Marek, John Kalamajka, Diana (Kalamajka) Fesenmyer, and Cynthia (Kalamajka) Forshee. His wife, Lin A. Kalamajka, with whom he was separated. Several nieces and nephews who adored him. He is predeceased in death by his loving parents, John Jacob and Bernice (Schlosser) Kalamajka. The family is sincerely appreciative of the care he received by his loving caregiver, Cleo Jackson. Thank you to the staff at Storke Funeral Home and the King George Sherriff Department for the care and kindness you gave to family at the time of Bob’s passing. Bob, you will be missed each summer as we revel in the Mooch Tour memories. Be like Bob. Create time for your family and friends, it will be the best gift you can give! A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, April 21 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel. |
