Barbara Felber Dixon, 80, of King George, VA passed away on April 14, 2023. Born on March 30, 1943 to Joseph & Alma Felber in Philadelphia, PA, Barbara moved at a young age to Annandale, VA. After graduating from James Madison University, she taught school in Fredericksburg, VA first at James Monroe High School and then at Walker-Grant Middle School. Barbara met and married her sweetheart, Harley Dixon before moving to King George, VA to begin a family. Throughout the years her children were growing up, Barbara loved to volunteer at school. She enjoyed serving her church and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Especially dear to her heart was the Knit & Crochet group who provided baby blankets and other homemade items. Barbara cared greatly for her community and served as a member of the Fire Department Auxiliary. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Alma Felber, and sister, Leigh Atkins. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Harley Dixon; sons, Brian Dixon (Dana), Dan Dixon, Tim Dixon (Kara); grandchildren, Tyler Dixon, Jared Dixon, Abby Gardiner and Logan Gardiner; and many nieces and nephews, including her sisters children Mandy and Mike.
