Mrs. Helen Lambros Labbe, beloved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 at the age of 103, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Mrs. Labbe was a long-time resident of King George, and her compassionate care for the sick earned her the nickname “Nurse Nightingale” from her close friends and family. She was also a talented seamstress, with the ability to copy patterns from any magazine her daughters brought home. During World War II, Mrs. Labbe worked at Dahlgren, serving on an artillery assembly line. Later in life, she waitressed at many different restaurants before going into business with her father and opening the Dinner Bell (or Spaghetti House, as it was more commonly known) on Rt 301. Mrs. Labbe is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore H Labbe; her parents, Charles and Grace Lambros; and her siblings, Thomas Lambros, Charles Lambros Jr., Elias Lambros, Grace Mae Dickens, and Mary Louise Robinson. Mrs. Labbe is survived by her daughters, Brenda Joyce Labbe and Patricia Ann Clavloux (Mark); eight grandsons, Patrick Adair, Danny Adair, Robert Adair, Gregory Bache, Courtney Bache, Timothy Buckner, Paul Clavloux, Derick Newton; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A visitation will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, King George before processing to Historyland Memorial Park for the graveside service at 1:30pm.
