William Patrick "Bill" Long

William Patrick “Bill” Long, 63 of Moyock, North Carolina passed peacefully in the arms of his family on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Rockville, Maryland. He was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania to the late William and Garda Long. Bill retired after 24 years in the United States Navy and then had a second career as a manager/radiology tech with Harbor View Hospital. He was a beloved coach and mentor who impacted the lives of so many. Bill was known for always bringing life to a party with belly laughs and stories. He enjoyed traveling, seeking out new adventures and creating core memories with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana (who he always referred to as his “bride”); his children, Candice McFadden and her husband, Bud and Christina Flores and her husband, Jason; his sisters, Peggy McKenzie, Debbie Guiffrida and Shari Thompson and his granddaughters, Kaylei, Savannah and Selina. A funeral Mass will be held (at a date and time to be determined) in the Old Post Chapel on Fort Myer, with burial to follow in Arlington National Cemetery, with United States Navy honors. www.storkefuneralhome.com
