Jean W. Walter, 90 of Burke, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her home. Born in Minnesota, she had worked for the Army as Director of Arts and Crafts, while living in Germany and Panama and finally for Fauquier County Parks and Rec before retiring to Burke. Jean was an accomplished artist, in her own right, and had several art showings, while living in South America and Germany. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the world. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, John “Buff” Walter; her daughter, Christine Taylor; her step-children, Rich Walter, Scott Walter and Patricia Harrington; her three sisters, Mary Apte, Janet Campfield and Linda Weatley; her grandchildren, Madison and Zachary Taylor; her five step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
