Joseph Wilson (Jay) Ligon of Colonial Beach, VA, formerly of Nashville, TN, left this earth on Monday, June 19, 2023. Born with a guitar in his hands in Lebanon, TN to Edna and Brown Ligon, Jay is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Ligon, and sons, Peyton (Jenifer Anastasi) Ligon of Boston, and Wesley (Jade) Ligon of Colorado Springs; mother-in-law, Jean Lea of Franklin, TN; sister-in-law, Debbie Graf of Hermitage, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Tammy Lea of Brentwood, TN; and a lively bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jay loved his collection of guitars, his faithful and spoiled dogs, Jesse and Zerelda, action movies, and making beautiful music. Jay was both logical and wildly creative – he painted, wrote screen plays, and closely followed world events and politics. He had a heart of gold and was loved by many. He will be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 20, 2023 in Colonial Beach. Details to be shared later. Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach is handling arrangements. |
