April 9, 1953 - January 20, 2024 A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024 in St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church, King George. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, January 28 at Storke Funeral Home, King George. Harvey Price Yarus of King George, passed away on January 20, 2024 surrounded by his wife and daughter at home, at the age of 70, following a courageous battle with cancer. Harvey, the youngest of three children was born on April 9, 1953, to Howard and Jeanette Yarus in Fredericksburg, VA. He grew up on the Potomac River where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He worked at Dahlgren Marina at the age of 14. He graduated from King George High School and Rappahannock Community College. Harvey was the previous owner of Eastside Glass Shop, Inc since 1980. He enjoyed boating on the Potomac River, being a boat mechanic, and cutting wood in his spare time. Harvey was a previous member of the Dahlgren Lion’s Club and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua in King George, where he volunteered and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Among his survivors are his wife of 45 years, Laura Snow Yarus; son Charles Valentine Yarus; daughter Maura Yarus Rawlette (husband Drexel) all of King George. Harvey was the very proud Grandfather and Papa to his 2 grandsons, Devin Arthur Rawlette and Alexander Price Yarus. He also leaves behind his sister, Joan Yarus of Fredericksburg and brother, Stephen Yarus of Richmond. The late Richard C Snow, Jr (Julia), Conrad James Snow (Ana), Jonathan Whitmore Snow (Tonya), and Christopher Edwin Snow (Sarah). Along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Valentine Yarus, Jr, Marion Jeanette Humphrey Yarus, and mother in law Maura Wingo Snow. Harvey was always on the go and would never sit still.
