Mary Frances Knight Waldrup

Mary Frances Knight Waldrup, 75, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Wife to Kenneth Edward Waldrup Sr. who passed away in 2002; she carried on as beautiful and graceful than ever for another 21 years without him. She was a daughter, a sister, an amazing wife to a wonderful man, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a woman who could define capable, and a reliable soother of tears for many that knew her. Her hugs and genuine compassion left us all in a tranquility that cannot be replaced.

She is survived by son, Kenneth Edward Waldrup Jr. (Nancy); daughters, Christine Calloway (John Woody) and Tanisha Pike (Donald); grandchildren, Brianna Pike, Isaiah Waldrup, Jacob Pike, Nicholas Calloway, Sophie Calloway, and Jayden Pike; great-grandchildren, Bentley Boyd and Mackenzie Pike. Also survived by sisters, Gloria Sproull, Florence Johnston, Judy Zeinog, Lisa Knight, Nancy Knight, Shirley Knight, and Amy Knight; brother, Alvin Knight, sister-in-laws, Ruth “Sis” Waldrup, Jessie Waldrup, Nelda Griffey (Doug), and Rita West (Guy). Mary was also preceded in death by sisters Diana Knight and Carolyn Boner; a brother, Brian Knight; and brother-in-laws, James “Jimmy” Waldrup and Harold “Bubba” Waldrup. Our hearts are heavy and every passing day we seem to miss you in a different way.

A funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery will take place February 28, 2024 at 9am.
