Frank Phillip Kalita, 78 of Colonial Beach passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2024. Born in Baltimore, MD, Frank earned his Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of education at the University of Mary Washington. Frank was married to Tamera O’Dell for 20 years and they have four children together. Frank was a lifetime member of the Commonwealth of Virginia-Department of Game and Inland Fisheries-Saltwater Fishing. Frank dedicated most of his days to work but during his off time he enjoyed fishing, football, and horse races. Survivors include 2 daughters; Jennell O’Dell of Colonial Beach, Va, Jessica Moppin of Holiday Island, AR, 3 sons; Brian Kalita of MD, Frank O’Dell of Olean, NY, and Jonathon O’Dell of Buffalo, NY, his ex-spouse and best friend, Tamera O’Dell of Berryville, AR, his brother Edward Kalita of Ogden, UT and sister Mary Page of Encinitas, CA. Frank was a loving father, grandfather, brother, husband, and friend to many. He was very brave and enjoyed helping others when he could. Frank will be forever remembered in our hearts and truly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 19th, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Washington Avenue Park, 308 Washington Avenue, Colonial Beach, VA 22443. Dress is casual, there will be a pot-luck so bring a dish and flower donations accepted. |
