October 18, 1940 - July 21, 2024 A viewing and memorial service will be at the Storke Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The viewing begins at 9:00 followed by a memorial service at 10:00. Location of the funeral home is 111 S Main Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427. There will also be a celebration of life at the Redeemer Lutheran Church Reception Hall at 1:00, location is 5120 Harrison Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. Virginia Dare Henley, 83, of Woodford, Virginia passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 18, 1940, in Fredericksburg, Virginia was the daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Jones. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Samuel Henley; her son, Paul Henley of Honolulu, Hawaii; and her grandchildren, Krista, and Luke. She was preceded in death by her son, David Henley. Virginia graduated valedictorian from her high school in 1959. She was an active member in the Lutheran Church and volunteered her time providing meals at the local homeless shelter.
