Alyssa Lee Kent, 44 of Montgomery Village, Md, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 23,2024 after a long battle with 2 types of cancer. Alyssa grew up in Jackson, CA and received her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Maryland. She was currently serving on active duty with the United States Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer for over 20 years as a cryptologic technician. She served in naval information operations command in Georgia and Texas, recruit training command in Great Lakes, information warfare training command San Diego, attached to EOD in Tikrit, Iraq, 7th Fleet staff, and Cryptologic Warfare Activity 65 in Japan. She is survived by her parents, Carl & Gloria Kent; her brother Zachary and his wife, Kimina; and two nieces, Lyla & Nova.
