Rosa Ingargiola Picone

Rosa Ingargiola Picone, 87 of Mechanicsville passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at her home. Having been born in Italy, she made the move to America to establish a more secure life. She initiated her career as a seamstress. Later, she opened restaurants in partnership with her husband, where she served as a cook. She had a profound appreciation for cooking and family time. Rosa is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ambrogio Picone; her children, Josephine Amato (Vito), Frank Picone (Cecilia) and Johnnie Picone; her brother, Joseph Ingargiola (Rosaria); seven grandchildren, Joseph Amato (Katie), Ambrogio Amato, Angela Amato, Ambrogio Picone, Rosabella Picone, Adrianna Picone and Lola Picone; three great grandchildren, Anabella Amato, Lilyana Amato and Luca Amato. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Francesca Picone; her parents, Giovanni Ingargiola and Francesca Mannino; her siblings, Vita Ingargiola, Giuseppina Ingargiola (Giuseppe), Giovanna Giambanco (Filippo), Antonino Ingargiola (Vita), Maria LoPiccolo (Salvatore), Rosalia Monterosso. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 8^th at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Redeemer 8275 Meadowbridge Rd. Mechanicsville, with entombment to follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park. The family will have a visitation at the church, beginning at 11:00am until the start of the Mass.
