Julia Wilkins Jenkins

Julia Wilkins Jenkins, 80, of Colonial Beach, VA passed away on January 1, 2025.

Judy was a passionate lover of music and was a talented pianist and organist. She enjoyed her time living in Colonial Beach, especially the peace and beauty of being near the water.

A devoted Christian, Judy found comfort and peace through her Bible studies. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church for a time, but her faith remained a constant throughout her life.

She worked as an educator in the Stafford and Westmoreland County school systems.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” C. Jenkins; and her parents, Blake & Evelyn Wilkins.

Judy is survived by her aunt, Althea Hinson (Charles); uncle-in-law, William “Sonny” Akin, Jr.; and cherished cousin, James Richard “Ricky” Wilkins (Judy), along with many other cousins who held her dear.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Historyland Memorial Park.
