Joe Wayne Loving

Joe Wayne Loving, 61 of Mechanicsville, VA, formerly of Caroline County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in VCU Medical Center.

Joe dedicated over 30 years of service to Verizon before his retirement. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he also had a deep passion for golf and cherished the time spent on the course with his golf buddies. He had endless love for his family and always kept everyone laughing. You could always find him at The Ville, where he met some great friends.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Loving; his daughter, Heather Loving (Brandon); stepchildren, Erica Barrett (TJ) and Zachary Moore (Lee Anna); brothers, Butch Loving and Ricky Arthur; grandchildren, Isaiah and Jayvon; and step-grandchildren, Jackson, Alex, Max and Layla.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Marsden; stepfather, Calvin Marsden; father, Richard Loving; sister, Tammy Sullivan; brother, Dennis Loving; and first wife, Joni Loving.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe’s life at the Bowling Green Chapel of Storke Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
