The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Essex Cemetery. Barbara Uebele Brooks passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Barbara loved golfing, bowling, poker, family and socializing with the “Roadrunners”. She worked at Perks Restaurant, the telephone company, Monroe but was a homemaker the most of her life. She was a member of Tappahannock Memorial United Methodist Church. Barbara was preceeded in death by her husband, William Felix Brooks. She is survived by her two children William Craig Brooks (Terry), Amy B. Basye (Drew) and three grandchildren, Hunter (Brittany), Aaron, Emaline and her sister Jean U. Edwards. Her amazing and loving caregivers were Tammy, Sue, Sarah, Gena, Rose and Tiny.
