Stephen Edward Apperson

Stephen Edward Apperson, 65, of Montross, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2025.

Steve was known for his big personality – always the life of the party. He loved fishing, riding in his Jeep Wrangler “Smoky”, and visiting his favorite place, Cades Cove. A skilled plumber by trade, Steve also served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James & Evelyn Apperson; and brother, Jimmy Apperson.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Courtney Apperson and Ashton Johnson; grandchildren, Carter, Noah, Lola, Christopher, and Bradlee; brothers, Mike Apperson and Donny Apperson; and sister, Tina Marcus.

A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
