OUR WANDERER Jeffrey Dragalin (1994-2025) Acts 20:20 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the tasks the Lord Jesus has given me.” On May 12, 2025, we received the sad news that Jeffrey Nathan Dragalin, at the age of 31, had completed the tasks the Lord Jesus had given him. Jeffrey is now in heaven with his friends, family, and the beloved pets that have passed away before him. Jeffrey was born into a military family and began his travels at six months old when his family was transferred from his birth state. He lived in several different states and graduated from Cherry Creek High School in Centennial, CO, in 2012. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Army, serving from October 9, 2014, through January 21, 2019. During his enlistment, he received numerous honors, including: – Army Achievement Medal (4x) – Army Good Conduct Medal (2x) – Army Enlisted Soldier of the Quarter (2x) – Global War on Terrorism Service Medal – Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon – Army Service Ribbon Patch Badge While serving in Washington State as a medical logistics clerk, he was invited to try out for the Army Rangers. He later joined the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, as a member of a Search and Rescue Jump team. He separated from the Army in 2019 and was medically retired with a permanent disability resulting from an accident during his parachute training. Jeffrey was a wanderer who traveled extensively throughout the U.S., North America, and Europe while coping with his disabilities and their side effects. Born on January 3, 1994, in Norfolk, VA, Jeffrey passed away in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Michelle Dragalin, and his sister, Sally Dragalin. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dale and Eva Martens, as well as his cousins including, Tina & Paul Tavernia, and daughter, Sophia Lewis. Jeffrey was predeceased by his grandparents, Peter and Arlen Dragalin. Mr. Jeffrey Nathan Dragalin (1994-2025), a veteran of the Persian Gulf War (Iraq and Afghanistan), will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full applicable military honors. His family and friends loved Jeffrey dearly and he will be greatly missed. Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” |
