Dorothy Jane “Dottie” Turnbull, 85, of King George, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Born on March 22, 1940, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. Blaser and Alverna M. Blaser, Fox.

Dottie lived a life filled with love, joy, and laughter. She had a natural gift for bringing smiles to those around her and was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and she found immense pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Daniel E. Mulloy and his wife Alyce; Theresa M. Mulloy; James W. Mulloy and his wife Gina; and Robert T. Mulloy and his wife Michelle. Dottie’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Matthew Mulloy; James Poole and his wife Bherna; Ryan Mcdonnell and his wife Jessica; Samantha Rozinski and her husband Scott; Jarrett Mulloy; Maci Mulloy; and Luke Mulloy and his girlfriend Allison Hughes. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy: Audrey Rozinski, Jacob Mcdonnell, Jaxon Rozinski, and Harper Mcdonnell.

Dottie’s bond with her Great – Grandchildren; Audrey and Jaxon was extremely special. She resided with her Granddaughter, Samantha and family, welcoming both Audrey and Jaxon home from the hospital as newborns and watched them blossom over the past 8 years. Audrey and Jaxon were often by her side, whether sharing quiet moments on the couch or playing together. Dottie cherished every moment spent with them, as they did as well. She took pride in their presence in her life. She will always be their Grammy and Mammy, who now will watch and protect them from above as she had here.

Dottie is also survived by her brother Thomas M. Blaser. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John E. Turnbull; her sister Margaret E. Ahmay; her brother Maurice B. Blaser; her granddaughter Nicole Mulloy; along with her parents.

A woman of many interests, in earlier years, she spent a lot of time traveling and could be found hooking up the camper with her late husband. She had made numerous friends on the road, while residing in Dillsburg, PA –  who she would converse with for many years, over the CB radio, known as Little Bee. Dottie had exceptional crafting skills and was eager to share with others, cross-stitching, sewing, and painting ceramics were a few she found pleasure in. Most recently, she enjoyed crocheting— especially making baby doll clothes for Audrey—and found peace in coloring books and reading. She loved watching Ice Road Truckers, spending time outdoors on the patio, and relaxing with her dog, Sasha, who would be found always by her side. Her days were often filled with the simple pleasures of family visits, laughter-filled conversations with her friends, and watching over the little ones she adored so deeply.

She was immensely proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—their accomplishments were a constant source of joy for her—and she never missed an opportunity to share stories about them with others. She lived an adventurous life and had countless stories to share.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately by family to embrace her love and cherish the moments had with her. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the King George Public Animal Shelter.

May Dottie’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her, as they carry forward the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
