Jill Gore Bowersett of Lake Barcroft, VA passed away on Thursday, May 14th 2020 near Woodford, Virginia after a long illness for which she sadly lost her battle. During the past 8-months, she lived under the loving care of her niece Rachael Bochert, her husband Joey and their family. Rachael and Joey were with Jill when she left us. Gone far too soon, Jill would have been 67-years of age on June 8th. For the past 30-years, Jill lived on a mountaintop home she purchased outside historic Franklin, Tennessee. She was the co-founder of BRADLEY | BOWERSETT, INC. formed in 1988 with her business partner Edward (Ed) Bradley of Laguna Niguel, California. Jill and Ed relocated BRADLEY|BOWERSETT to Nashville, TN in 1990 at the request of Bridgestone’s chairman. They later formed two additional enterprises, Joint Venture Travel, LLC. and a property investment partnership. Together, Jill and Ed built a long and successful corporate meeting and event production company serving some of the world’s most familiar company names such as H.J. Heinz, Ore-Ida, Bridgestone, Firestone, Mitsubishi, Castrol, British Petroleum, Yokohama, Century21, ATG-KKR, and others across America. Jill was many things to many people. A beautiful, kind and classy woman inside and out. A lifetime school friend. A loving aunt. A best friend. A business woman. A trustworthy friend. A loving rescuer to animals in need of adoption. And more. She will be remembered for many things far beyond her passing by the many who loved her and called her partner, aunt, and friend. This was a legacy for which she would be proud. Growing up on Lake Barcroft and the Baily’s Crossroads area of Arlington Virginia, Jill leaves behind many long-time school friends, Marriott colleagues, recent relatives she discovered through her love of genealogy as well as many business clients who called her friend. She is survived by her business partner Edward Bradley and the family she dearly loved… Rachael Bochert, Joey Bochert, Jaden Bochert, Destiny Bochert, Dustin and Lauren Bowersett, Carly Bowersett, Owen Zuker, and Wilbur Moffet. She loved her close friends, Ed Bradley, Angelia Wyatt, Debbie Cook, Michelle Berry, Calvin Jones, Dianne Brown, and many more. Jill possessed a beautiful voice and a laugh that was unforgettable. Most importantly… she was fond of telling her family and closest friends at the end of each telephone conversation… “I love you!”. That is the way Jill Gore Bowersett would wish to be remembered in turn. Knowing that so many who now remember her, whether they called her “partner”, “aunt”, “sister” or “friend” … loved her… as eternal peace now becomes her final journey. A Final Note: It was always important to Jill to know that all those she loved were safe. Accordingly, and due to the current pandemic, no funeral services are planned at this time. A future date and location to gather and celebrate Jill’s life will be announced at a later date. If you wish to be included in this celebration, please notify Ed Bradley at [email protected]. Jill loved her many rescued cats over the years and especially her female dog GG. In lieu of flowers, Jill would wish the kindness of such gestures of remembrance for her to be donations in her name to your local animal adoption center(s).
