Naomi M. Edge, 87 of Ruther Glen went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at her home of natural causes. Naomi was born to the late Irvin Woodrow Phillips and Annie Pearl Luhn in Olney, Maryland. She was a long-standing member of Countyline Baptist Church. She was preceded into eternal life by her beloved husband of 59 years, Allen C, Edge, Sr; her father, Irvin W. Phillips, her mother, Annie Pearl Luhn, her grandfather, E. Wilbur Luhn, and her grandmother, Lillie May Luhn. Naomi is survived by her son, Allen C. Edge, Jr, her daughter, Nancy A. Feldman (Mark); her sisters Carol Mayo and Charlotte Miller; and her grandchildren, Tanya Hipona Pereira (Washington), Alissandra Hipona, and Cory Pheasant (Marissa). Naomi was a loving and caring friend to many. Her wisdom helped to guide many people through hard times in life. She loved to write. She would write about anything from history and important dates to beautiful inspirational quotes. Her gardens were everything to her. She would work out in them until her husband told her it was time to take a break. She could tell you the name of every plant or bush in her gardens. She had certain phrases that she loved to say such as “oh you know” or that she wanted to “taste test” whatever it was she wanted. She would always say that “God wouldn’t give you anything you can’t handle”. She will be deeply missed by many, but we know she is dancing with her husband once again. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 at Mount Comfort Cemetery on S. Kings Highway in Alexandria, Va at 2 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Storke Funeral Home at 111 S Main St, Bowling Green, Va 22427. If a donation would rather be made, her family requests they be made to County Line Baptist Church. www.storkefuneralhome.com. |
