Rose Josephine Briggs Harris, 72 of King George, died on Monday, October 12, 2020 at her home. She loved her flower garden and watching the hummingbirds. While she was here she was a friend, sister, and mother; she left here an Angel. She loved spending time with grandchildren, especially Hayes Thomas. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Harris and sisters Margaret Thomas and Louise Pelion. Survivors include sons Jake Galloway, Jr and Ronald Galloway; sisters Shirley Kidwell, Doris Fiddler, Juanita Cooksey; and her caregivers until the end Tommy and Grace Lee. A service will be held at her home on Saturday, October 24, 1pm. Procession to St. John’s Episcopal Church, King George, VA will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at https://www.cff.org/, in honor of her son Ronald Galloway.
In loving memory of Rose Josephine Briggs Harris ,72 who lost her long battle with cancer on October 12, 2020, peacefully at her home in King George. She was a fighter until the bitter end. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rose was a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend and most importantly a woman of God. She loved to work in her yard and flower bed. She loved her birds that she watched every morning from her front porch. She loved all her children, Ronald Galloway, Jake Galloway, Patricia Price and Shirley Vermillion and her grandchildren, Hayes Thomas, Gunner Robinson and Janie LaCouture who all loved their Maw-Maw. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ronald Harris her daughter Anita and her sisters Margaret Thomas and Louise Peline. She is survived by her children and grandchildren as well as her sisters A service will be held at her home on Saturday, October 24, 1pm.
