May 15, 1940 - November 28, 2020 A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 4:00 pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. All current COVID-19 mandates will be followed such as masks, social distancing and only 25 in the chapel at a time during the visitation and 50% chapel occupancy during the funeral service. Leonard B. Taylor, Sr., 80 of Ladysmith passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Richmond. Born in Essex on May 15, 1940 to Andrew and Myrtis Taylor, he was a lifetime member and former Chief of the Ladysmith Vol. Fire Department. He retired after 42 years from Peatross Manufacturing in Richmond. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and was a member of the “Bill Green Chicken Crew”. He is survived by his children, Beckie Taylor, Junior Taylor (Sharon), Rhonda Taylor (Kenny) and Mike Taylor and three grandchildren, Ron Taylor, Cameron Taylor and Krysten Taylor. He also had five siblings, James, Andrew, Frankie, Vernell and Margie. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 4:00 pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home.
