Robert Alan Skinner, 57, of Milford, VA passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at his home. Born in Fredericksburg, VA, he was the son of Emma “Lucille” Profitt and the late Thomas Franklin Skinner, Sr. Alan was a distinguished painting contractor and landscaper in the area. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a collector of many things, but especially guns. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who honored his family with his strong work ethic, selfless demeanor and humorous storytelling skill. As a Christian, he dreamed of the day he would once again go fishing with his dad. Alan leaves behind his loving wife, Sherry; his son Joseph Alan Skinner; his daughter Jordan Alysabeth Arial Skinner; two grandchildren Skiler Skinner and Alysabeth Ayala; and three brothers Thomas Franklin “Frank” Skinner, Jr.(Julia), Jeffrey Lane Skinner (Debbie) and Bruce Wayne Skinner (Holly); as well as many nieces and nephews.
