Steven Steigleder

Steve’s family welcomes you, friends–to meet us at Gardens Unlimited on September 7, 2021 and celebrate his life and spirit.

Some of you know Steve from childhood, growing up in Bowling Green, VA, remembering youthful antics and sailing adventures. Others are alumni and fraternity brothers from the University of Richmond, with whom he shared a forever bond. Peace Corps expats experienced a beautiful and complex odyssey with Steve, that whet his appetite to go—everywhere.  While getting his Masters degree at American University, between his Peace Corps stints and later work in Africa, Steve lived in a group house and met yet more friends for life. At the end of his working career, Steve circled back to DC to marry, rescue his best dog, Sam and live closer to his family. His last job at IIE, introduced him to yet more like-minded devoted professionals, many of whom became his good friends.

Our boy had a magical life full of adventure and world travel. We were fortunate to know him and share in his stories.
