John T. “Jack” Henicheck, Jr., 78 of King and Queen County passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was born July 11, 1943 in Ashley, Pennsylvania to John and Mary Stortz Henicheck. Jack was a 1961 graduate of Ashley High School and attended Kings College. He was Vice President of restaurant operations for Aunt Sarah’s Pancake House in Richmond for over 25 years and owned his own catering business and restaurant (The Stone Hearth in Ladysmith) until his retirement in 2005. Jack proudly served as President of the Virginia Restaurant Association. He was most proud of the years he served as Scout Master for Troop 103 in Canal Winchester, Ohio. He loved working in his yard and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lorraine Napier Henicheck; his sons, John Henicheck III, Robert “Rob” Henicheck, Christopher Henicheck (Michelle), Jacob Henicheck; the three older boys’ mother, Janice Henicheck; his sisters, Rose Krakowski, Joan Coskey and Frances Radecki (Bernie); his granddaughters, Alyssa and Lily Henicheck and his faithful companion, Duke. Jack was blessed with family and many friends, but especially H.E. Timberlake, John Zuber, Harry Smith, Teri Phillips and Art and Terre Cone. He was a member of Tappahannock Memorial United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11th at 11:00 am in Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Ladysmith.
