Carol Lee Evans

Carol Lee Evans, 80, of Farnham, VA, passed away on October 12th, 2021. She retired from NAVSEA after 37 years of Government service. Carol also continued to work as a Government contractor in support of NAVSEA for a few years after. She finally retired to the countryside on the Rappahannock River with her beloved husband Frank of 37 years. Carol loved spending time with her husband and family boating on the river. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Helen V. (Bier) and Ambrose C. Gallagher of Freeport, PA and sister, Patricia Pflugh of Dade City, FL.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank J. Evans of Farnham, daughters Sheryl Bowen (Glenn) of Warsaw; Lisa Lawhorne of Alexandria; Stepson John Evans (Kendra) of Nashville, TN; grandson Chris Newton (Becky) of Spotsylvania; granddaughters Lauren Pomeroy (Hunter) of Alexandria; Dana Saft of Arlington and brother Ronald Gallagher (Linda) of Freeport, PA.
