On Monday, October 11th God called Deacon Jack Plecker home. Although his time on earth feels like it was cut short, he now has eternal life in heaven. Jack was the most humble man and never boasted about accomplishments. He was a man of God, a man of wisdom and faith. Jack was selfless, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved to be outdoors. Jack was a noble man who very rarely complained and always found the best in everyone. Most importantly, Jack was known as a devoted and loving stepfather, grandfather and husband. Survivors include his wife, Tina Plecker; father Allen Plecker; three children, Michelle Shumaker, Melissa Shumaker and Joshua Shumaker; two sisters, Gail Plecker and Tiffany Hardin; two grandchildren, Lexi Shumaker Gill and Clayton Shumaker Gill; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Plecker; and a brother, Dale Plecker. Jack was that man that you could always count on when you needed help. So now it’s our turn to give back to him. Unfortunately, due to his sudden death, Jack did not have any life insurance to help pay for his funeral and burial expenses. So we’re seeking donations to help with relieving some of those expenses. All proceeds will go directly to the funeral and burial expenses of Deacon Jack Plecker. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Caroline Christian Center, 103 Main Street, Bowling Green, VA.22427.
