John (Larry) Crivello passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Alexandria, Virginia. He was born in Alton, IL to John (Jack) and Alice Crivello. Soon after high school he joined the Marine Corps and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E9) after 21 years of service. Following his time in the military, he had a second career in procurement working for the Marine Corps, retiring a second time after 19 years. Larry’s greatest passion was people and he was loved by many. Fondly, referred to as the “Mayor of Wakefield Street,” he always had a helping hand and a kind word for neighbors and friends. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Denise Murray Crivello; his daughter, Lori Diane Beck; his two sons, Stephen Lawrence and Michael Anthony Crivello; his 7 grandchildren, Cassie Wilson, Jessica, David and Timothy Harmon, Dylan, Benjamin and Phillip Crivello; and his 4 great grandchildren, Cameron, Carleigh, Brody and Braylee Wilson; his sister Judy Leighty and brother Richard (Dick) Crivello.
