Frank Daniel Cummings, 81 of Bristow, Virginia passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Frank was born in Buffalo, New York on January 3rd, 1940 to the late Edward and Dorothy Cummings and was one of five siblings. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and served two tours in the Vietnam War as a combat medic. During his tours in the Vietnam War, he was awarded numerous medals for his heroic actions, most notably the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After his military service concluded, Frank primarily worked in the medical and real estate professions while living in Texas, Maryland and Virginia. He primarily enjoyed playing cards, bowling and playing golf in addition to watching and rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Edward and Dorothy Cummings; two brothers, John and Peter Cummings; and his sister, Dorothy Cummings. He is survived by his wife Nancy Carol Cummings; his children, Christopher Neil Cummings and Patricia Hill; his brother, Edward (Oscar) Cummings and his grandchildren, Madison Kay Cummings, Joseph Ronald Brant, Jacob Kevin Brant, Matthew Ryan Brant and Daniel Lelan Brant; nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
