Wilday Ellis Roussell, Jr., 93, died on November 12, 2021. He was born and lived his entire life in Dahlgren, Virginia where he retired from the Naval Surface Weapons Center (Naval Space Surveillance) in 1983. He enjoyed spending time with family and never traveled too far from his beloved home on the Machodoc Creek. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Wanda Nugent Roussell, son Wilday Ellis Roussell, III (Jeanne), daughter Diana Roussell Minter (Watson), step-daughter Tammy MacDonald (Clif), step-sons Richard Nugent (Cathy) and Gregory Nugent, sister Norma Roussell Cowart, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilday Ellis Roussell, Sr. and Susie Bragunier Roussell, his wife of 31 years, Margaret Weedon Roussell, and his brother Alvin Roussell. Visitation to be private. Graveside service at 2pm on Friday, November 19 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
