Danny Smith

James Daniel “Danny” Smith, 74 of Ruther Glen passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. Born in Louisa, he was a United States Army veteran and served one tour of duty in Viet Nam. He had retired after 37 years of service with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. Danny had a lifelong love and passion for horses. Survivors include his wife, Mary Smith; two sons, Hunter Smith (Emily) and David Smith (Danielle); two step children, Mandy Tate (Kevin) and Robbie Glasco; grandchildren, Zoe and Stella Smith and Wade and Waylen Smith; step grandsons, Zachary and Ryan Tate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 18^th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home.
