Father Ron was a true fixture in Colonial Beach. I got to know him when I lived at the beach for more than 10 years. We enjoyed many morning coffees, both at Lenny’s and Expresso, with a consistent group of individuals where there was always lively conversation on a variety of different subjects! He was always so kind to me and never failed to ask how my family was doing. Our discussions on Polish food were always a walk down memory lane for both of us as we recalled how delicious keilbasa, pierozki, kapusta, golabki and chrust-faworki tasted and the various memories that those dishes conjured up in our minds. My sincere condolences to Claudette and the rest of the family. He will be truly missed, but I know he is basking in the glory of seeing our Lord, Jesus Christ and will be looking over all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claudette, Jeremy & Melissa, Martha and Family. Father Ron was a very special guy with many talents and loved talking about Corvettes. He has a permanent place in our hearts. He served God his whole life and now he is in Heaven walking with God, and I am sure he is cracking a few jokes. We will deeply miss him, but never forget him. Love, Bob & Jan Swink

Father Ron was instrumental in getting me back to church! I was a newbie here in CB in the early 2000’s and had just had my daughter and wanted her baptized when I walked into his office one day. Father Rob embraced Madelyn and I from that day forward. I loved how he celebrated all the holidays at St. Mary’s with such love and enthusiasm. I loved to always seeing him walking up and down Colonial Ave! I also adored running into him after he retired and he’d always ask how Madelyn was doing, he genuinely cared. I know he’s always going to be watching over her now. Thank you Father Ron for guiding my spiritual growth for many years, you truly helped me at times in becoming a better mother. You would give me that “look”, and I knew I had to listen to God.

My Deepest Sympathy to Claudette, Jeremy and Martha, and the many friends of Fr. Ron. Rest assured he is now in God’s tender loving care and all his pain is gone! Fr. Ron was such a vital part of the our community! I became friends with Fr. Ron while I worked as secretary of Colonial Beach Baptist Church for 43 years. He was an integral part of the Community Ministers Group and friends with many of our pastors! He was such a nice man and loved talking and getting to know you! We also began prayer partners, praying for each other when I had brain tumor surgery and he was battling cancer! He said, I will pray for you and you can pray for me! We definitely did that and it was much appreciated! He fought a great fight against that cancer and lived his life to the fullest! He will truly be missed by so many folks in Colonial Beach! Treasure all your precious memories and he will remain in your hearts forever! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Fr. Ron was our friend and Priest for many years. Our sincere condolences to Claudette, Jeremy, Martha and family. We will miss our many fun times of having lunch and visits in the Burg. Our many Sundays at the many Church’s that Fr. Ron conducted services, as we shared our love for the Packers, Fighting Irish and Corvettes. His inspiring sermons will remain in our hearts forever. “Tuffy” & Anne
