Nancy was such a classy lady. She was a joy to see at the mall she was always interested in everything you said. We spent time with Nancy and Dick on a bus trip to Mackinac Island and had lots of laughs. Rest In Peace Nancy?????? Maureen & Vic Fredette

So very sorry about Nancy. I worked with her for many years–first at NSWC and then at JWAC. She was always quite the professional. May she rest in peace, and may God comfort her family. Cindy

She was one of the great Dahlgren moms who put up with all of our shenanigans. She was also a good friend to my mom and I remember them laughing with the other Oakland ladies. All our thoughts to you all. Hold all the wonderful memories close.

Dear ones: Grief never ends but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. There are so many things you must be feeling today, but I trust that what you feel most is loved, remembered and held close to many hearts because you are. Long ago, my daddy taught me that if we keep the happy memories of our loved one close in our heart they can never really leave us. I have tested this lesson many times, over the years and found it true. I am sure you have many of those memories. Share them. Laugh, cry and remember. luv, carol 😉

Such a precious lady. I started working at “The Store” for Mr. B and Mr. Stout when I was 12 years old. Mrs Ballenger, of course, dropped by frequently, and she was always kind, gracious, and as sweet as could be to me. The Ballenger family will always have a special place in my heart. Love, prayers, and condolences to Mr. B, Rick, Susan, and family. She will truly be missed.

Frankie and I are thinking of all of you and will be praying for peace that passes all understanding at this time. Indeed, Nancy Ballenger was a Dahlgren icon and a model of graciousness. We are all richer for having known her.
