My deepest condolences to the whole McGee family. As the oldest of Debby and Marty Pinion’s children, I have wonderful memories of visiting my Uncle Tom and Aunt Rosanne’s home in Virginia growing up. I will always remember the laughter and joy that filled theirhouse. Family always surrounded Uncle Tom; that’s the way he liked it! When he and Aunt Rosanne took in my great grandparents to care for them through their final days on earth, I remember for the first time, they made the effort to keep their home still and quiet for the comfort of Uncle Tom’s parents. When his sister, my grandmother, was in hospice, he and my mother stood by her bed singing her favorite hymns as she was ushered into the arms of Jesus. What a beautiful farewell. When my mother Debby visited him the day before he left to go home to his Savior, she did the same… sang his favorite old hymns by his bedside. Uncle Tom left such a powerful legacy behind, as he spent his life pastoring, sharing his love for Jesus. My prayers are with all of his loved ones who have a hole in their lives and hearts that he has left behind. May God’s grace and comfort abound at this time.

I first met Tom in Bible College and then we renewed our friendship when we both started churches in NJ. We enjoyed sweet fellowship and ministry matters for many years, even after he relocated to VA. My wife and I treasure the times we spent with the McGees at their home in VA. These were happy times indeed! Tom was a courageous pastor, a wonderful father, and a loving husband to both his late wife and his present wife. He will be missed but he is now at home with his Lord which is “far better,” Phil 1.23. So sorry Lola and I cannot attend the memorial service but I am having cataract surgery then. See you later, Tom! John Cornette, Greer, SC
