Bruce was my second father for a long time, and whenever we would go to Maryland on vacation, I loved spending time with him. We connected from the moment I first met him, and he and his wife Shirley welcomed me right away with open arms, and loving hearts. Bruce always had some interesting stories to tell, and he wasn’t afraid of telling you what he thought, or what he knew; which is some of the things I loved about him. He was an honest, hardworking man who loved his county, and loved people; especially his family and friends. The last time I saw him was at his nephew’s funeral in Lansing, Michigan and in some ways, he was still my Father-In-Law even though I had not been married to his daughter for a number of years. As a believer, I know I will see Bruce and his wife Shirley again when I go home. I wish I could be there with you, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve this loss. I Pray that Bruce’s family and friends are comforted in knowing that Bruce is ok, and probably happier than he has been in a long time.
