I am saddened to hear about the passing of Roger. I had the pleasure of working with Roger for 15 years. During that time, I had gotten to know Roger to be a generally good kindhearted person. He was always the same easy going with a smile on his face. I will remember Roger for his kindness and the immaculate way he took care of his vehicles. I’ve joked with my wife that someone would be lucky to get a Roger Key car when he decided to sell. I pray your memories of Roger will give you comfort in the coming days.

Roger was a wonderful person, always happy, smiling, joking and kind. He had a great love of music and a beautiful singing voice; he was a joy to work with in our music ministry at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Port Royal, Virginia. He would frequently leave messages for me on the organ console and I still have one from ten years or so ago that says “Happy Easter Brad!” He left us far too soon and my only solace is knowing that his suffering has ended. My heartfelt condolences to Eunice and all of Roger’s family. Until we meet again, my friend, Rest In Peace.

I am saddened to learn of Roger’s leaving us. I knew him only a short while, but in the brief time we worked together he struck me as the most extraordinarily amicable human being. It is difficult to put into words, but in his company, you would always find yourself immediately at ease. This affect of his presence occurred in large part, I think, because his kindness and geniality were effortless, originating in a kind of grace that made Roger unique and a delight to know.

I will always remember Roger as one of my childhood friends. I have nothing but fond memories of him and those times. Playing football in his backyard, Little League, PP&K contest and destroying yellow jacket nest are a few of many memories that we shared. Eunice, Lamar, Mrs Key, Sharon and Terri, Lynn and I offer our sincere condolences to all of you and are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, we will be out of the state during Roger’s service but will be there in our hearts.

Roger and I were on the Football Team together. He was a punter that made a name for himself. He was always so lied back and easy going. He was someone who didn’t have to make noise for you to know that he was there. My condolences and prayers go out to the Family and Friends. I pray God’s strength upon all who loved him, and that God will give you the faith and understanding that you need at this time. BLESSINGS . . .

Roger was such a great guy. He was always smiling and a fun to be around. He took pride in his work and was well respected. Memories from laughing in the hall to tailgating at UVA are what I will remember. Our prayers are with the family. Roger will be greatly missed by many.

Roger was a great guy and wonderful person. He was a dedicated and loyal coworker at REC, and well respected. I especially enjoyed working with Roger at Mattaponi Springs after we had retired from the coop. I will miss his smile and laugh, and his friendship. Gods blessings to Eunice and the family.
