Skylar, you were more than just a student to me; you were my friend. “Skylar time” was a highlight of my day and I think and hope it was a highlight for you too. We had such fun and made anyone that kept us company during that time swear they wouldn’t tell anyone else what fun we had in there. I’d kept track of you through the other school nurses but lost you when you moved away but you were always on my mind and in my heart and will remain there forever. You will be missed. Landon, I’m so sorry you’ve lost your sister, your first best friend. I know how that hurts. You and your family have my deepest sympathies.

Oh sweet Skylar… I was so lucky to have you as my student at Middleton Elem. Always a joy to teach or see. You came off the bus each morning so happy to be at school. The students loved you. The staff loved you. Your bus driver loved you. When you came into a room??? The sun would start shining. Anyone who met you was a friend to you. You never said a mean word about anyone. You were a hard worker. I know that heaven is a better place with you up there. Fly high my sweet girl!! Debbie Haan Middleton Elementary Charles County MD
