I had Major Romanek as an instructor/ Teacher in high school; Air Force JUNIOR ROTC. He wasn’t as much of a disciplinarian as he was a fun educator. Though he did expect respect in the old school ways. If it wasn’t given he would be an ever present thorn in your side. I saw him in action. Though not towards me. Him and SMS Norman really helped me change my academics. Focus more on the important things. Also helped me discipline myself to become a soldier in the US army. For this I will forever indebted. Thank you sir. I pray deeply to his family for their loss. He was definitely one of a kind. God speed and off to the wild blue yonder; “capital G, Glenn E. Romanek..” as he made a point to us he had to capitalize his G.
