Prayers for Mike’s family and friends. We loved Mike, he was a friend and loved the land. He loved being out in the “field” and all I ever heard were positive comments. We will miss him at Extension, but we have great memories. May God wrap his loving arms around you.

Dear Broaddus Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mike was such a good guy to work with in the VCE King George office. His energy and positive outlook made the job easier for the rest of us. May you feel God’s peace as you grieve his loss.

Broaddus Family, I had the honor of working with Mike in Virginia Cooperative Extension. He was a great man. He worked hard, and was one of the best at what he did. He was a friend and great example to others. He will be sorely missed by everyone he knew in VCE. He was also my friend. I cannot imagine the hole he leaves in your family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Broaddus family in this time of loss.

Mary Grace & Emilee, You both have been in my thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry about your sweet Daddy. I have such fond memories of him from our days at Caroline Academy to being grown ups at Salem. May God comfort your hearts now and in days ahead.

Mike was a great collaborator when I worked at the Department of Forestry. Always ready to work hard with a smile on his face, and always looking out for everyone else. He was very pleased and encouraging when I made the switch to VCE. A warm and reliable person who will be missed in his community.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Mike when he was at Virginia Tech as we were in B Company in the Corps of Cadets. He was two years behind me. He was always ready with a quip, story, or joke—and always a stand-up guy. He was taken far too young in our eyes, but at just the right time in God’s eyes. Take care and God bless.
