I happened to be visiting in Fredericksburg when I saw the notice about Dr. Thomas’ passing. He was my supervisor for over three years early in my career. What a kind, intelligent, courageous gentleman. Prayers for him and his family.

Dr. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of excellence in leadership that Dahlgren and the King George community will long remember. He integrated his knowledge and deep understanding of the discipline of Math that is the core of computation and analysis at NSWCDD. He was proud of his children, and rightly so, for they have always been models of their father’s strength and integrity. Dan, you especially have that Dahlgren DNA and share your dad’s devotion to the warfighter. You are all in my prayers at this sorrowful time.

I am saddened to learn of Marlin’s passing and offer my condolences to his family. Marlin and I worked together (although not closely) years ago at the Dahlgren navy base where he was known as a very likable and accomplished scientist. May he rest in peace.

What an honor and privilege it was to know you! Little did we know, buying our first home three years ago, that we would make lifelong friends that we now consider family! Marlin, you will be missed by so many, but your legacy will carry on! Prayers and thoughts go out to the Thomas family!

Dear ones, You are in my heart and prayers. I would like to share something that my daddy taught me long ago. He said that as long as we keep the happy memories of our loved ones close and alive in our heart they can never really leave us. I have tested that many times over the years and found it true. I KNOW you all have many happy memories of Marlin. Keep them close, share them with each other and he will be with you. I promise. You are all strong and brave. I am praying for continued strength and joy. That is what he would want you to have. God bless! Love, carol 😉
