Michael and I were born the same day and our mothers were in the same room. Amazingly we went through school together in the same town, Appomattox. From first grade on we were close friends. Truly if it were not for him I’d have not made it through college math. I’m very shocked and saddened by his passing. My heart goes out to you Julia and his children and grandchildren. He will never be forgotten. Praying for you and the family! Teresa

I admired Mike Galilee from the very start of my days supporting the SLBM program at NSWCDD when he was the K Department Deputy Department Head. Being the sign off agent for documents, he could have been intimidating and aloof, but instead he was kind and gave guidance whenever any document needed a change or correction. He was an admirable leader. Years later I was fortunate to work with him supporting Lunch Bunch and against him playing church softball. He gently diffused any disagreement on a call and reminded us of the importance of our fellowship. To his family I offer deep condolences. To all who knew him, I join with deep appreciation for having Mike in our lives.
